More contracts extended at Raydale
GRETNA FC 2008 have been continuing with their preparations for next season with four more members of this year’s squad signing extended deals.
The versatile Ryan Coates, defender Alex Potts, Sam Atkinson and Liam Short have all committed their future to the Lowland League club for 2025/26 season.
Anvils manager Vinnie Parker was delighted to get the above players tied down, he said: “Coatesy is having an outstanding season so far. He has demonstrated his ability to perform in multiple roles to benefit the team. He’s always full of energy and banter, making him a joy to have at the club.
“Sam has been a real standout this season, with 25 appearances, 6 goals, and 10 assists. He has a wealth of experience in the game and is a really intelligent player.
“Pottsy, at just 19-years-old, has already established himself as a solid performer in the Lowland League. We are extremely pleased that he has committed to extending his deal with the club.
“We are delighted to extend Liam’s contract with the club. We see him as a huge part of our future plans. At only 20- years-old, we know he will progress to be a real standout in our squad.”
