SOME schools in Dumfries and Galloway will be forced to close for three days at the end of the month due to strikes.
Unison has announced the industrial action from Tuesday September 26 to Thursday September 28 across Scotland, including this region.
However, it’s not yet known how many primaries and secondaries locally will have to close – although Unison say that 1868 schools, three quarters of all in the country, will be affected overall.
About 21,000 of their members will walkout in a dispute over pay.
