More tractor events

TWO more charity Christmas tractor runs are taking place in the region this month.

Machars Young Farmers are holding their event on Sunday December 15 from Airlies Farm at Whauphill.

Decorated participants are asked to meet there at 4 pm for a 4.30 pm departure.

Keep an eye on the club’s Facebook page for route details soon and to reserve a spot. Numbers are limited.

A YFC spokesperson said: “Pease get your lights/tinsel and best decorations at the ready.

“We’d love to see everyone come out and give us a wave.

“All proceeds raised are for our chosen charity SANDS.”

On the same day, the Kirkcudbright charity Christmas tractor run will also take part, leaving from Dee Walk in the town at 4.30 pm.

The festive fleet will head through town then on to Twynholm, Gatehouse of Fleet and Borgue.

It costs £10 to enter and lorries are welcome too.

And it’s all in aid of Kirkcudbright RNLI Boathouse appeal.
