DUMFRIESSHIRE MP David Mundell highlighted the importance of learning lessons from wars as he signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment in Westminster this week.
He said: “Conflicts taking place in different parts of the world today are a sad reminder of how important it is to achieve a lasting peace.
“I again pledged to remember the six million people who were murdered by the Nazis in the concentration camps and, in addition, those caught up in more recent wars.
“I’m also firmly opposed to all forms of antisemitism, which in recent months, I understand, has risen exponentially and which needs to be tackled head on.”
