SUPPORT has been expressed for The Outdoor Education Bill, proposed by Liz Smith MSP, from Galloway and West Dumfries MSP Finlay Carson.
He believes that outdoor education is imperative for young people and said: “Her bill would guarantee equal access and the opportunity for all to gain from these potentially transformative residential programmes.
“It is hoped it will attract wide support from all parties as it moves forward.”
And he noted that disadvantaged children especially benefit from this type of education – emphasising its importance.
The funding of the bill will be determined in greater depth during the parliamentary process.
