Gordie, along with his teammate Jimmy Broadbent, currently both sit top of the championship standings and the driver leaderboards ahead of the weekend.
Gordie said: “Donington has a very high hit rate for me, it’s my most successful circuit, so obviously my goals are to extend the championship lead.
“We haven’t been in the car for 11 weeks now, and other teams have been able to test where we have not, so we are potentially starting on the back foot.
“Time will tell, but we go into the weekend with the championship fully in our minds.”
This weekend is the penultimate race of this years calendar and drivers will battle it out over two 60 minute races.
