She moves from Queen Margaret University, but has also worked at Edinburgh Napier University and prior to that worked in international shipping company, VShips. Furthermore, she is a visiting professor at Shandong University of Finance in China and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and advisor to HEA, as well as an editor for a range of academic journals.
