MOFFAT and District Community Council (MDCC) reconvened on Tuesday evening to hold an EGM.
It followed a casual vacancy election which returned nominations for three new members — bringing the total membership to eight, with six vacancies remaining.
The recent departure of Dick Mongahan and Lynn Anderson as chair and secretary required the group to elect new councillors to the roles.
Leys Geddes, Fiona Murray and Sylvia Moffat were respectively unanimously elected as the council’s chair, vice chair and secretary, with David Booth reelected as the treasurer.
Mr Geddes welcomed his new position and appealed to anyone living locally and considering joining MDCC to get in touch.
