New season, new pètanque club

A BRAND new pètanque club has formed in Annan.

Pètanque is a social game which brings people together. It is often played on holiday but it is a growing sport in the UK and in many countries around the globe.

Solway Pètanque Club will play on the terrain opposite the Seaforth tennis courts and would like to encourage those in the community to come along and join.

There is no need for you to have any equipment when you are starting off as the club will provide everything needed initially.

Membership is just £15 for the whole year and those under 18 are free.

Playing times for the summer are Tuesday, 6 pm, Thursday, 6 pm, and Sunday at 2 pm.

The new season started on Tuesday April 1 and some of the members are pictured enjoying the good weather.
