New year, new baby

LITTLE Monty Irving arrived right on schedule on New Year’s Day, delighting his mum Zara Stanger and dad Chris Irving.

The arrival of their baby boy was a ‘great’ way to start the new year says Zara, who added: “My due date was New Year’s Day which was nice, I went into labour sporadically as well. I know it doesn’t usually happen that baby comes on its due date so that was a nice surprise.”

NEW ARRIVAL  . . . baby Monty Irving

Although her labour was ‘intense’ and ‘went from zero to a hundred’ upon their arrival at DGRI, partner Chris was there the whole time and little Monty couldn’t wait to meet his parents being born at 12.07 pm and weighing 7 lbs 1 oz.

After a short stay in the hospital, Monty is now settling in at home in Dunscore.

Proud mummy Zara said: “He’s great, he’s an absolute joy. Our families have all been over to visit him.”
