No fire fear for super Sheena

A LONG term fundraiser is preparing to walk on fire for a charity close to her heart.

Sheena Gibson, who is partially sighted, has been raising funds for Marie Curie for over 45 years and later this month she will take part in the Dumfries fire walk for them.

Emma McCall, of the Dumfries Marie Curie group, said: “Sheena is due to turn 80 in a few years, this is an event she wanted to do for her 80th birthday, when she turns 80 she will have done 50 years fundraising for Marie Curie. She is a super star.”

The fire walk takes place at the Queen of the South Arena on October 22 and is open to anyone aged over 14. To book go to trybooking.co.uk/CKAE. Entry is £25.
