For the second year in a row, organisers have had to cancel the popular event, which normally takes place on the last Saturday in August.
In a statement, chairman George Braid, pictured, said: “‘Due to the continuous uncertainties and enforced restrictions around mass gatherings, Moffat Show has, with much regret, been forced to cancel for this year. We looked at various options to try and create a safe environment on show day, however, ultimately we cannot be responsible for every individual’s action on the day and believed we could not take any risk.”
The organisers now look to 2022 with hope for a return to normal
