Nursing class of 1975 keep in touch

FOR four decades a group of nurses who trained together have regularly reconnected.

And for their 40th reunion ladies came from across Dumfriesshire, and even as far as Bermuda, to catch up and reminisce.

The gang started their training in 1975 on the Crichton campus and were the first nurses in training at the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

They started reuniting every ten years but as their numbers dwindled they began meeting every five years.
One of their number travelled from Bermuda while others came from Liverpool as well as Moffat, Lockerbie, Annan and the west of the region.

Some of their number were unable to make the latest reunion, held at Casa Mia in Dumfries, but sent emails and well-wishes.
