It happened sometime between Friday and Monday at Goldielea Nursing Home in Dumfries.
And thieves took a sit on lawnmower, a Honda push mower, a pressure washer, a petrol strimmer and a hedge cutter.
Constable Sarah Lee said: “Clearly the thieves would have required a large vehicle to move this property and we are asking anyone who may have been at the home over the weekend to get in touch if they can remember seeing anything suspicious or indeed anything which might help us catch those responsible.
“Anyone wishing to call in can contact us here at Dumfries on the 101 number.”
Meanwhile, computer equipment worth £1300 was stolen from offices in Dumfries also over the weekend.
Police are investigating the break in at an office unit of First Home Care on the Heathhall Industrial Estate.
It happened sometime between last Friday, July 7, and Monday.
Constable Ross Milligan at Dumfries said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been on the Heathhall Industrial Estate over the weekend who might have seen or heard anything suspicious.”
Police can again be contacted on the 101 number.
