Old school team ready to show off plans

PROGRESS continues in the transformation of Lockerbie’s old school, with a drop in event taking place today in the town.

PROGRESS continues in the transformation of Lockerbie’s old school, with a drop in event taking place today in the town.

New images of the site were shared on social media earlier this week, alongside an invitation for the public to see the plans for the building and submit ideas for how it could be used once renovations are completed.

A spokesperson for Lockerbie Old School said: “Ashleigh Scotland Ltd are doing a fabulous job and the Old School looks so different!

“We will have the doors open to the Old Bank, 81 High Street, on Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm if you would like to look at the plans for the school, ask any questions, or if you have some spare time to volunteer with us – or you could ask about how to become a member of our board – come and say hello!

“You can let us know what kinds of activities and events that you would like to see when the Old School opens, what activities you would attend and take part in, or if you would like to use the spaces to run activities or events with your organisation – just let us know.

“We would like more people to know about the amazing development ongoing and Lockerbie Old School Community Hub.”
