UPDATE: one hurt in bypass crash

ONE person has been seriously injured in a crash which has closed the A75 bypass at Dumfries today.

The three-vehicle collision between the Lockerbie Road and Bloomfield roundabouts has resulted in one person being taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
Speaking at noon today, a spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A full crash scene investigation is taking place at the scene just now, so the road will still be closed for some time.”
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area if possible and a diversion has been set up through the town centre.
