MORE than 200 people experienced perfect conditions for a sail on Castle Loch, Lochmaben on Sunday.
Annandale Sailing Club’s annual open day saw bumper visitor numbers and ideal weather with warm sunshine and a fresh breeze.
Members gave out information about joining the club and training courses before offering people of all ages the chance to go for a sail around the loch with an experienced helm. Visitors could then enjoy tea and cake served in the clubhouse and on the balcony, the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy all the action.
Laura Cowan, development officer for the Royal Yachting Association Scotland, visited during the day and praised club members for their warm welcome and team work.
Vice commodore Trudie Mitchell thanked all the club’s volunteers for their support and making this year’s event such a success.
