PEOPLE from across the South of Scotland are being encouraged to apply to join the Regional Economic Partnership (REP).
It needs eight new voluntary members representing the private sector, social enterprise and the community.
They will join councillors, as well as Board Members from South of Scotland Enterprise and representatives from other agencies.
Appointments last for two years and will consist of meetings at least four times a year.
The REP is the forum that brings together a wide range of expertise and sets the direction of the regional economy across Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish Borders.
Its focus includes housing, transport, and skills, as well as developing an inward investment plan and championing the Natural Capital Innovation Zone, to developing pathways for enterprising communities and businesses to access support.
Current chair Councillor Gail Macgregor said: “If you are passionate about fair and flourishing local communities, whatever your skills background, whether you have some volunteering expertise or experience at senior management level, anyone with an interest can get in touch and help shape our future.”
Applications are open until Monday February 10.
