Photo plea

HAVE you been to Wigtown Book Festival in the past and taken photos while you were there?

An appeal for old photos and memories of past festivals has been made by the organisers.

To celebrate its 25th year, they are putting on an exhibition and are keen to include some behind-the-scenes and informal images.

A spokesperson said: “It might be a selfie with a favourite author or a street scene, a record of a dinner, ceilidh or walk, or a photo of a group of friends.

“With each image, we’re also asking for up to 25 words explaining what’s going on and what makes it memorable for you.”

Contributions will be digitised and projected on a show-reel throughout the festival in a temporary gallery space outside the County Buildings. They may also be used on the official website.

For further details of how to take part email them at [email protected].
