Plant machinery stolen from site

CONSTRUCTION machinery worth almost £4000 has been stolen from a site between Langholm and Canonbie.

Police Scotland are appealing for information in relation to theft of a 12″ mini digger bucket and a hydraulic jack hammer from a property under construction on the A7.
The theft took place some time overnight on Wednesday September 21 and Thursday September 22, and the value of the items has been put at nearly £4000.
PC Euan Fraser at Gretna Police Station said: “Clearly a vehicle must have been used in the theft of these heavy items and I am interested in hearing from anyone who may have been on the A7 road between Langholm and Canonbie on Wednesday or Thursday to see if they might have seen anything suspicious.
“Any information can be passed to us on the 101 number.”
