Police probe lamb killing

A LAMB has been found with gunshot wounds on farmland in the Waterbeck area.

At 7 am on Monday, the deceased lamb was discovered by the farmer, who reported it to police.

Sergeant Scott McDowall at Annan said: “Enquiries have commenced by local officers and information is sought.

“There’s a suspicion that it may have occurred as a result of people lamping on the land without permission.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 or contact their local police station.
