Police seek information after car fire

POLICE are seeking information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Dumfries.

The incident happened on Criffel Road, last Friday with officers arriving at the scene at 7.45 pm after reports that a Vauxhall Astra was ablaze.

Sergeant Adam Potts said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the fire which was quickly extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

“Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area and anyone who knows who is responsible, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 3280 of 28 January.”
