Pony qualifies for international show

LOCKERBIE equestrian Kirstin McMurray competed at the Royal Lancashire Show on Saturday with her homebred Highland pony stallion, Trailtrow Tearlach.

He won his class and then went on to be overall Mountain and Moorland Champion.

This has qualified him for the BSPS Heritage Ridden Championship which is to be held at the London International Horse Show at the Excel Arena just before Christmas. This is the first time he has qualified for this prestigious show, although other ponies from the stud have qualified in the past.

Trailtrow Tearlach has previously been champion at the Royal Highland, Royal Cheshire and Blair Castle International Horse Trials and competed at the Horse of the Year Show last year.
