The Remembrance themed display at the Dryfemount home has been weeks in the planning and features the handiwork of residents and local children.
Activities co-ordinator Kirsty Green explained: “Six weeks ago we put out a plea to all the local children asking for donation of hand drawn poppies.
“The response was overwhelming and between residents, staff, children and youth groups, we ended up having 666 poppies to create a poppy cascade outside the care home.”
She added: “We are so very proud at how our community has come together in these trying times.”
