OPERATION Overflow has been activated at the region’s ports due to expected bad weather.
Several ferry sailings between Cairnryan and Northern Ireland have been cancelled today as high winds are forecast
And freight lorries will be redirected to park up at the old Castle Kennedy Airfield in a bid to beat congestion in the area.
It is expected to be in place until tomorrow and may also be re-launched on Sunday if conditions deteriorate again.
