Private island goes up for sale

AN uninhabited island off the coast of Dumfries and Galloway could be yours.

Barlocco Island, which is located in Fleet Bay, is on the market for offers over £150,000.

It covers 25 acres and is accessible by boat or at low tide on foot or by tractor or quad bike.

There is a pebble beach on the western side where a boat can be anchored or beached and a flood pond provides water for livestock and wildlife

No-one lives there and there are no dwellings or buildings on the island, which lies within the Borgue coast Site of Special Scientific Interest.

It is being marketed by Galbraith and has attracted worldwide attention, appearing in the New York Times and other global publications.
