QoS contract for Scott

FOOTBALL stardom is the dream for a young Gretna boy, after he was handed a contract by Scottish Championship side Queen of the South.

Following his contract termination at Annan Athletic, Scott Norman, 19, has been attempting to get back into the sport through several channels, with Queens being his saving grace.
Scott said: “I’m on a full professional contract but also on a development loan to Gretna.
“I signed for Queens officially on January 2 and Eddie Warwick phoned me as soon as I had my release from Annan and I think they just watched me playing a few times when I got on for Annan, I’m sure it was Jim Thomson who watched me.”
Embracing the opportunity to showcase his talent on a larger stage, the predominant left back, is hoping to develop his ability with better players and regular games for the U 20s of Queen of the South.
Despite the offer, Scott is still unsure about his future in the sport.
He said: “By the end of the season I’ll review what Queens are offering and compare it to uni, as I have some conditional offers sitting for me.”
