MOFFAT Rams stormed to victory at home in West Regional League Three last Saturday against Glasgow Raptors.
The Raptors were unable to break through the Rams defence at the Holm and, in a good spirited game, the Rams took the win 76-0.
And on Sunday the Moffat/Annan under 16s were playing at Annan against Loch Lomond. A dominant opening 20 saw Annan/Moffat keep the play in Loch Lomond’s half but Annan/Moffat lacked the edge to convert that to points.
Loch Lomond took their chances, however, and with two quick scores they took the game to 12-0, only for Annan/Moffat to nick in and get a try just before the break. It was 12-7 at the half to Loch Lomond. The second half was full of big hits and both sides players needing to step out. But Annan/Moffat won the physical game running in four more tries to Loch Lomond’s two. The final score was 29-26 to Annan/Moffat.
