HER Royal Highness The Princess Royal spent a busy day in Dumfries and Galloway yesterday.
She carried out three official visits, starting at plastic roads firm Macrebur in Lockerbie, where she toured the factory and unveiled a plaque marking its fifth year.
Then it was on to the Dryfesdale Cemetery in the town, where she laid a wreath in memory of the 270 victims of the 1988 air disaster. The Princess was noticeably sombre and took time to pay her own respects and to carefully read all of the memorial plaques and headstones there.
Her final engagement was at Browns Food Group in Kelloholm to officially open their upgraded facilities.
