LAURIEKNOWE Squash and Racketball Club, Kirkcudbright Squash Club and Dumfries Squash and Racketball Club will be offering free ‘Try Squash’ sessions to encourage new players to give the sport a go.
There is no sign up or booking required, just turn up to get involved. All the equipment needed will be provided free of charge by the club.
A total of 26 venues covering the length and breadth of Scotland will take part in the week.
Leisure centres will also be joining in with the fun by offering reduced rates for play and equipment hire.
Clubs will also be providing opportunities for seasoned squash players to join in, with each club putting on a series of events to mark the occasion.
Scottish Squash director of development Allan Mckay said: “Love Squash Week is all about harnessing the excitement of this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and using it as a platform to raise awareness of squash across Scotland.”
Dumfries SRC is holding sessions on Tuesday and Thursday next week from 6-9 pm. Email [email protected] or contact the clubs on Facebook for more information.
