Restaurant boost for Alzheimer Scotland

CHARITY SUPPORT . . . the proprietors of an Annan restaurant have given the Alzheimer Scotland charity a boost.

Martin and Lisa Avey at the town’s Del Amitri Restaurant hosted a fund-raising meal recently for the organisation which is close to their hearts.
The event raised an impressive £1240, which has been handed over to Mandy Pool, a dementia advisor at Alzheimer Scotland’s resource centre in Gordon Street, Dumfries.
In addition, Lisa, who took part in the recent Memory Walk in Dumfries, raised a further £245 to support the charity’s work.
She explained that she was impressed with the organisation through the support they had given to her mother, who was diagnosed with dementia an number of years ago.
Said Lisa: “They provide a lot of services, information and support to clients and their families. I have been greatly impressed by all that they do.”
