Road crash victim named

POLICE have named the man who died in a road crash near the Grey Mare's Tail on Sunday.

Hristo Hristov from Tranent in East Lothian was killed when his green Kawasaki motorbike was in a collision with a car on the A708 near Moffat at about 3.55 pm.

He was 33-years-old.

Sergeant William Broatch, of Dumfries and Galloway Roads Policing, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Hristov at this difficult time.”

Enquiries into the fatal accident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via the 101 number.
