A GRAND auction and sale takes place in Lockerbie this weekend.
It is being run by Lockerbie and District Rotary Club in the ice rink, on Sunday from 11 am until 2 pm.
And it is a major fundraising event to meet their annual commitments, so they are hoping for a good turnout from the public.
There will be many items of interest in the sale and the venue will be open from 12-2 pm on Saturday for a preview.
Among the huge selection of items available, is a range of garden furniture which is the result of a collaboration between the members of the Rotary Club, the Joinery Workshop in HMP Dumfries with wood donated by James Jones, Lockerbie, and hardware donated by McDermid Supplies, Dumfries.
There will also be bedding plants from HMP Dumfries and donations from ICL Nutberry Works, Eastriggs.
Side stalls will offer a variety of crafts, tools and donated items, which can be seen on the club’s Facebook page.
A spokesman said: “Do come along and see the cornucopia of items and get an insight into the many ways Rotary locally and internationally works, and how you can help your local community by adding your support to the team.”
