Cornet elect Hayden Hodgson will be joined at the front of the cavalcade on Saturday July 5 by Cornet’s Lass elect Kayleigh Murray and Standard Bearer elect Tracy Ireland.
The public came out in force to vote for their preferred Cornet’s Lass candidate at The Anglers. And Kayleigh Murray was named Lass elect shortly after 7 pm.
Meanwhile, it was announced that Tracy Ireland would be entrusted with the flag during the big day in July.
The principals each now have an action packed spring and summer to look forward to.
It all starts with the sashing on Saturday March 8 at the Corner House Hotel.
AROM convenor Stuart Thompson said: “The turnout (for the vote) was encouraging, it was very positive.
“There was a constant stream of people right up until the 7 pm cut off time. There was a good cross section of people of all ages.”
Stuart added: “The next steps are the sashing (on March 8). All the principals will join us at our monthly meetings and it won’t be long until they start to get invites in from other towns.
“The three candidates are all very competent individuals. I’m 100 per cent sure they will all rise to the challenge and love the opportunity to represent Annan.”
