DUMFRIES Rotary Club has raised money by aiding shoppers with packing their bags over the Christmas period.
Rotarians arrived at Marks & Spencer at the end of November to provide some aid and festive cheer in partnership with the Food Train and Dumfries.
Club members were on hand to assist shoppers with both packing their bags of shopping at the store’s food hall.
And they received £1275 in donations towards making up 150 Christmas parcels of useful basics and sweet treats to give to less-fortunate families. They were distributed by the Food Train
Rotarian John Hunter, said: “Dumfries Rotary Club is delighted to return to this annual community service activity, following the pandemic, and we are grateful to everybody who has taken part in this team effort.”
