SALLY Triggs is proving age is just a number after she celebrated her 90th birthday with a boogie on the dance floor.
The proud Doonhamer has been going along to Fitsteps classes every Wednesday at Dumfries Parish Church to keep fit and active.
And this week, twin instructors Jayd and Jenna Flager had a surprise for smooth Sally as they wished her a happy birthday and gave her a card before all her dance pals surrounded her with well wishes.
Incredibly, Sally had never danced before joining the class but now she admits she’s caught the strutting bug.
She said: “I have never been a dancer but I come for the exercise. It’s brilliant and it’s so good for socialising. The twins are great and are so special to us and the community.
“I never dreamed of coming along but one day I was in the cafe with a couple of friends and saw a notice about the dance classes, my friends looked at it but I stayed sat.
“The twins came over and before I knew it, I was signed up for the next week’s class!”
Sally hasn’t looked back since and instructor Jenna says she’s an inspiration.
Jenna said: “Sally was one of our first who joined our classes.
“She’s a huge inspiration. I inspire to be just like her when I get to 90, I want to be dancing and be as incredible. Fitsteps has just celebrated our fourth birthday and Sally’s a big part of our dancing family.
“She proves that even at an older age you can still get out and about.”
