Salon owner's joy at GB award

LIV’S Hair and Beauty blew away the rest of the competition at the Great British Hair and Beauty Awards.

The Dumfries salon won the award for Hair and Beauty Salon of the Year in Scotland on July 10, at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.

The Great British Hair and Beauty Awards 2022 are a celebration of the hair and beauty gurus that operate in the country.

Liv’s salon owner Jenny Walker has worked in hair and beauty for 19 years but did not expect to win the prestigious award. Speaking about the memorable night, she said: “To be honest I used the awards as good excuse for a night out. I didn’t think I was going to win so I’d resigned myself to having good night and a nice meal with my husband, and then I won and I was full of shock.

“The response I’ve had from my clients and on social media has been overwhelming, between my clients, my family and my husband Andrew the support they’ve given me has meant so much I wouldn’t be here without them.”
