Scotland lights up red for charity
REDDY OR NOT. . . Drumlanrig Castle is one of hundreds of Scottish buildings to "Light Up Red"

LANDMARKS across the region are being urged to “Light Up Red” in support of the Scottish Poppy Appeal.

Poppyscotland is encouraging buildings ranging from castles to town halls to take part and get glowing in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday on November 13.

The charity hopes to surpass last year’s record total of around 300 buildings taking part nationwide, including Drumlanrig Castle, Castle Douglas War Memorial, Ewart Library, and Dumfries and Galloway Council Headquarters.

Any building with external lighting can take part simply by adding red gel filters to the flood or up-lights.”
