ALEX Dunbar has been picked to return to the Scotland squad after a lengthy lay-off which saw him miss out on last year's World Cup.

The former Lockerbie Academy student, who grew up in Johnstonebridge, makes up part of Vern Cotter’s 35-man Six Nations squad which was revealed on Tuesday.

The Glasgow Warriors centre has been out of action for over ten months after the cruciate ligament nightmare he suffered ahead of last year’s Calcutta Cup clash with England.
Dunbar will hope to carry his Warriors form into the Six Nations which kicks-off at home to England on Saturday February 6.
