The group, the region’s biggest Scout troop, were dealt a blow earlier this year when their Caledonian Place base was deemed un t for use.
They appealed to the community to help nd temporary space to allow them to host their Beaver and Cub nights, with both the Mid An- nandale Comrades Club and the Masonic Hall management teams offering help.
And they launched a bid to raise £100,000 to secure a new home, setting up a Just Giving page, appealing for donation and planning a host of fundraisers.
And now their beloved hall has been put up for auction, with bids starting from £20,000.
The two level property boasts a hall, staff room, two of ces, a games room, kitchen, two toilets and excellent storage space, with the potential for business or residential use.
Next Tuesday the site will be auctioned off in Glasgow by Future Property Auctions, with funds going towards the Scout’s future home.
