Thomas Diggle, 21, who is funded by the ‘Welcome to Langholm’ Future Champions Awards will be part of the Team GB Pathways Programme. The shooting ace has really developed his skills to be given this opportunity to shine on the international stage alongside the best athletes from across the country.
This team has 14 members, who will compete in both rifle and pistol competitions at the Novi Sad Grand Prix in Serbia next month. Thomas will be participating in the rifle section, which includes the individual ten metre air rifle and mixed pairs. It’s been an extremely busy time for the shooter, who competed in both the Open and Scottish Championships, as he claimed first place in the confined 50 metre event. These performances have been crucial for Thomas, as all the athletes that were chosen were drawn from both the current World Class Programme and Home Country academy.
The pathway squad will depart the UK on Tuesday August 20, before competition takes place between Wednesday August 21 to Monday August 26.
