Special thanks to club helper

A DUMFRIES Pony Club volunteer had her hardwork recognised at an awards ceremony this week.

Alison Blower, of Nithsdale Pony Club, was invited to the annual Cubitt Award Ceremony.
She has volunteered at the club since her two boys became members 22 years ago and she is still very active even though both children are grown up.
Alison was district commissioner for three years and has also held other positions within the committee.
She retired from the committee this year but wishes to help promote The Pony Club at every opportunity and continually mentions her children’s best days were during Pony Club.
The awards are held in honour of volunteers who have given in excess of 20 years to The Pony Club, and take their name from the late Hon. Guy Cubitt, who was chairwoman of The Pony Club for 25 years and President from 1970 – 1979.
