LONGTOWN based JDP (John Davidson Pipes), a leading provider of high-quality drainage and water management solutions, together with JFC Civils, its key partner in twin wall drainage, is pleased to announce a partnership with Gretna FC 2008, becoming one of the club’s main sponsors.
With the original football club founded in 1946, Gretna FC is deeply rooted in the heart of the Longtown community and holds a special place in both the JDP head office in Longtown and the overall heritage of the company.
Speaking about the sponsorship deal, Tom House, head of commercial at JDP, said: “We are thrilled to become one of the main sponsors of Gretna FC 2008.
“As a local business, we recognise the importance of supporting and celebrating initiatives that are deeply ingrained in the fabric of our community.”
Stuart Holmes, commercial director at Gretna FC 2008, added: “Gretna has undergone a huge phase of growth with over 200 kids playing in a youth section for boys and girls.
“There is also an over 35s team, walking football and the senior side is competing in the hugely competitive Scottish Lowland League.
“The club has also been working very closely with Raydale Community Sport and as a result the town can be proud of one of the best 3G sports arenas in the area.”
