SCOTLAND’S Rural College (SRUC) has been ranked the top young university in Scotland for a second consecutive year in the Times Higher Education World Young University Rankings.
SRUC, which runs the Barony campus in Dumfries, also maintains a top-ten position in the UK, and is now positioned among the top 150 young universities worldwide.
It performed particularly well in specific areas, earning the top position in the UK in terms of industry income, and securing a top three ranking for citation index and teaching.
Moreover, SRUC was named the top university in Scotland and is in the top ten in the UK in the Young University Rankings.
“Maintaining our high rankings and receiving recognition in key metrics is a testament to SRUC’s dedication to excellence and our commitment to contributing to Scotland’s natural economy,” said Professor Jamie Newbold, provost and deputy principal at SRUC. “We take pride in not just our position in the rankings, but also in the specific areas where we excel, showcasing the breadth and depth of our work.”
