INNOVATIVE research, hands-on learning and a range of fun activities can be found at SRUC’s stand at the Royal Highland Show.
From animal CPR to Lego building and butter churning, there will be a chance for visitors of all ages to enjoy fun, first-hand experience of SRUC’s education and research, while customers can catch up with the experts at SAC Consulting.
Visitors will be met with a flurry of games and plant displays upon arrival at the stand, including SRUC’s own version of the popular fairground game ‘hook a duck’, with prizes on offer for those able to ‘catch a cow’, while also learning about SRUC’s Cool Cows project to breed more methane-efficient animals.
Aspiring vets can take part in animal CPR training on stuffed toy dogs or have a go at bandaging a foal.
Visitors can learn more about the services offered by the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) or try out food samples from the Digital Dairy Chain and SAC Consulting’s Food and Drink Enterprise partners.
The Royal Highland Show takes place from June 19-22.
