Step into spring

EMBRACE the great outdoors and have fun outside with your little one this spring.

That’s the message from the PlayTalkRead campaign as spring gets in full swing with the clocks going forward.
And they’ve come up with a top ten things to do list, including going on a blossom hunt, blowing bubbles, splashing in puddles, nature trails, play hide and seek and feeding the birds.
A survey for the campaign recently found that little ones love getting out and about more than anything else.
Minister for Childcare and Early Years Mark McDonald said: “Spring is the perfect time of year to get out and about more.
“PlayTalkRead’s list of things to do this spring doesn’t involve lots of toys or expensive equipment and can easily be incorporated into a walk to the shops or during a visit to the park.”
Visit www.playtalkread.scot for loads of ideas for fun, simple and free activities to enjoy together.
