Stolen van plea

A GREY van was stolen from Lockerbie on Tuesday morning and then found abandoned in Eaglesfield.

The Renault Traffic van, with ‘John Glendinning Roofing’ written on the side and rear, was stolen from the Park Place/Bridge Street area of the town at about 7.30 am.

It was then discovered near Eaglesfield several hours later.

Police are investigating and want to hear from anyone who saw the van that day.

A spokesperson said: “If you have witnessed anything suspicious, or have dashcam footage of the vehicle being driven between Lockerbie and Eaglesfield or have any information in relation to this incident, please contact 101, quoting incident 0490 of 21/01/25.”
