Store staff to step out for good cause

TEAM members from Tesco in Annan are inviting members of the public to join them on a memory walk dedicated to raising money for Alzheimers Scotland.

Taking place on Sunday September 18, attendees are encouraged to arrive at the supermarket by 10 am for the walk.

There are two planned routes to take, a longer 5km route and a shorter 3km route that is more suitable for those in pushchairs.

There are no entry fees, but interested parties can pick up sponsor forms from Tesco, the petrol station, or online. Janice Johnstone, an employee of Tesco and walk organiser, said: “We want to make this as great as it can be.

“A member of our staff was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, so we’re more motivated for the walk than ever before, and would like to raise awareness about it.

“The money we raise in the event will be crucial to help those affected by or related to someone suffering with Alzheimers.”

“The event is open to everyone, so we hope there will be a big turnout.”
