A TEENAGE photographer from the region is taking part in an exhibition at the Scottish Parliament.

Conceptual photographs by Georgia McLellan, 18, who is a pupil at Dalbeattie High, feature in the Higher Vision exhibition in the Main Hall of the Parliament, which celebrates wide-ranging work by youngsters who took the SQA Higher photography course,
She said: “The theme I chose is the countryside in miniature – I live in a tiny rural village, Kippford, so I have access to the sea and forest on my doorstep, and I wanted to show how beautiful everything is. Because I was looking in macro I wanted to show the tiny blade of grass and close-up details.”
