KATE’S Kitchen in Annan are reaching out to members of the community who may have “slipped through the net” this year in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The charity, which provides free hot meals, food parcels and support throughout the community, is offering advice on housing, debt, benefits, job training and a range of other issues to those who need help getting back on their feet.
Manager Hazel Thompson said: “It is a difficult time for us all but we’re here to help you.
“Has the pandemic affected your mental health? Have you been furloughed? Have you been made redundant or lost your job?
“Importantly – are you one of the many who slip through the net? It could be you’re in work and your income is just over the threshold to receive benefits. This inevitably means you could be struggling to make ends meet, to put food on the table, heat your home, pay your bills, ensure a good Christmas for your children? If this sounds familiar, then Kate’s Kitchen is here to help you.”
Kate’s Kitchen is urging anyone in need of support to call them on 01461 206444.
